COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE 
ADJECTIVES

Adjectives can be divided into comparative and superlative adjectives. 

Comparative adjectives are adjectives that is used to compare two nouns, such as:

 A big ball or a small ball

A tall tree or a short tree

To use a comparative adjective in a sentence, at the end of the adjective of the first noun must be added a "+er" and then followed by the word "then". example

1. The right ball is bigger than the left ball.
(big + Comparative adjectives = bigger then)

2. The right tree is taller than the left tree.
(tall + Comparative adjective = taller than)


The example sentence above is how you compare two nouns with comparative adjective. The comparison can either be the objects height, size, colour and even how delicious they are.

Write a sentence by using comparative adjectives to any house hold object that you see and write them in the comments section below:


Superlative Adjectives 

A superlative adjective is used to compare two or more objectpeople and places

Superlatives are normally formed by adding "est" to the adjective and placing ''the'' before the adjective.


The example above shows how to use superlative adjectives when comparing to more than two objects, people or places.
